Guidelines for eco-innovators
Despite the significant differences in the past, the Danube region has succeeded in successfully applying a number of technologies and ideas to the market. In the document Guidelines on successful transfer of eco-knowledge to praxis based on previous experience in the Region, we chose various successful innovations in the different countries of the region. We believe that a positive example will help the promising innovator with their own eco-innovations.

To map the environment for eco-innovation in the Danube Region countries; to offer a general overview and to point the interested reader towards relevant sources of more information, we developed the Common Guidebook on EcoInnovation.
This offers an overview of professional organizations with supporting services in the innovation field, intellectual property protection instruments available per country, overview on national legislation on state aid, contracts and starting a company, finances and much more.

To support the transfer of eco-knowledge a set of Recommendation packages – suggestions and proposals on how to bring an eco-solution into commercial value, particularly through forms of knowledge transfer- has been developed in the following areas - Partnership guidance, Pitch recommendations and Events, consultations and interactions.

EcoInn Danube project partners have selected three eco-technologies demonstrating significant opportunity for implementation and notable positive impacts in terms of energy savings and other environmental considerations from the Virtual Lab´s library and developed feasibility studies for these technologies to not only demonstrate and assess the functionality of the Virtual Lab but to provide also best practice guide to all stakeholders in the quadruple helix.
The three eco-technologies selected for the feasibility studies were:
1. Powerful composite sorbent for the removal of contaminants from water
2. Ecological wastewater treatment using the constructed wetland technology
3. Novel natural fibers for textile industry
