	LENA - COMMON POINTS AND FUTURE COLLABORATION BETWEEN DTP'S LANDSCAPE AND BIODIVERSITY PROJECTS

On 18th and 19th October, 2017 LENA Project was presented during the 6th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube region (EUSDR). The forum took place in Budapest and was jointly organized by Hungary – holding the current Presidency of the EUSDR, the European Commission and the Danube Transnational Programme. It assembled policymakers and civil society representatives from the region to share ideas, exchange knowledge and lay out the plans for the future.

	VISIT THE LARGEST LAKE IN TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK ON AN E-TRICYCLE

For the first time in Slovenia, this summer, tourists and locals can explore the beauties of the Bohinj Lake in Triglav National Park on an electric rickshaw. From the beginning of July 2017 visitors can explore the picturesque nature routes in Gorenjska region on an e-tricycle.


	VUKOVAR SRIJEM COUNTY: FREE EDUCATION OF CURRENT AND POTENTIAL BREEDERS OF BLACK SLAVONIAN PIG

Within the framework of the implementation of LENA Project Vukovar Srijem County (partner from Croatia) conducts free education of current and potential breeders of black Slavonian pig from the area of Vukovar Srijem County with the aim of equalization production conditions (selection of pigs, objects, feeding, processing into highly valuable products).


	TOURISTS AND COMMUTERS DRIVE THE E-BIKE BOOM EXCHANGE ABOUT E-BIKES ON REGIONAL CONFERENCE

Whether for tourism in the Danube valley or for the local bike sellers – the trend towards e-bikes has positive effects on economy in our region. This is one of the outcomes of the regional conference “e-bikes and nature tourism”. The Landscape Park Young Danube and the city of Tuttlingen had invited to this event in the civic hall of Tuttlingen within the EU-project LENA.


	SECOND OFFICIAL LENA MEETING IN SZOMBATHELY, HUNGARY

The meeting was mainly related to the results of the recent works in the frame of the project, as well as to the upcoming activities in the thematic work packages, including an overview of progress on the guidance documents, a general overview of e-bike technology, discussion about the requirements for e-managers and presentation of the results of data collection arranged in the recent months.
