DTP - Third call for Proposals soon to be launched

 
 

Soon, the DTP is going to launch its 3rd Call for Proposals after having succesfully approved 76 projects in its previous two calls. Please read the documents provided if you're planning to apply with your project/s. There is also a new FAQ section which could help you find brief and concise information on how you should prepare your project before applying and for those who have already an ongoing DTP project, how to implement correctly the project after its approval. DTP at the EWRC 2018

 
 

This year, the annual European Week of the Regions and Cities (EWRC) took place from 8-11 October. Alongside the other Interreg transnational programmes, the DTP has been a part of the joint exhibition "Made with Interreg". it aslo had the role to be in charge of the discussions enabled in the framework of the Idea Lab - a brainstorming process aimed at generating ideas on how to better embed transnational cooperation into EU policies.

 

Interreg projects were everywhere to present how they are making a difference in the regions and cities they operate, including our very own Iron-Age-Danube in this year's RegioStars Awards finalists and DRiM performing at the Interreg Talks: 6 projects, 1 Slam! final.

DTP's participation in the EUSDR 7th Annual Forum

 
 

The EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) celebrated its 7th Annual Forum in Sofia, Bulgaria. The event is of high importance and gathers relevant stakeholders of the Danube region. The Forum is co-organised by the Presidency of the the EUSDR, the EC and the DTP

 

The DTP participated actively in the event with the organisation of a plenary session to show its contribution to the region; a 'DTP meeting corner' in the exhibition area with projects' spaces; and the intervention of some DTP projects in one parallel workshop. It is also to be stressed that Corina Cretu, the EU Commissioner for Regional Policy, made a personnal remark on how the DTP MA/JS is doing a great job (tweet).

Brochures & leaflets published by the DTP

 
 

The DTP has recently published a brochure to showcase the Danube Region's gains accumulated since the start of the programme in 2015 and a leaflet about the 3rd call for proposals. To illustrate the programme successfulness, numerous approved project examples have been explicitated in the brochure 'Danube Transnational Programme contribution to a better Danube region' in order to show how they're serving as a booster in the area within seven thematic areas. The 3rd call leaflet, from its side, gives an overview of the main features of the call for proposals to be launched very soon.

DTP SUCCESS STORIEs: Lena & Transdanube.pearls

 

The DTP LENA project has been announced as a winner of the German Sustainability Project 2018 and was awarded with an established quality seal. The seal is recognised nation-wide and stands for innovative and effective commitment to sustainable development. The winners were chosen out of 450 applications. The jury selected 40 national winners and only two international winners, and LENA was one of them.

On the other hand, another DTP funded project - Transdanube.Pearls - has won the Austrian VCÖ Mobilty Award 2018. The latter is the biggest mobility competition in Austria and this year, the organisers received a total of 321 projects and concepts'  submission. Out of these applications, only 12, including Transdanube.Pearls, exemplary projects received a prize.

WINNERS of the Dtp photo competition 2018

 

This year, the DTP has succesfully organised a Photo Competition for the first time in the framework of the European Cooperation Day 2018 (September 21st) celebration. The competition aimed to highlight the DTP project results achieved in the Danube region, thanks to the EU funds. Having started its first phase - photo submission - in July, the competition proved to be successful as it gathered 112 eligible photos from 38 DTP funded projects. Not only that, the ensemble of these 112 photos received a total of 3290 votes by the deadline of the Public online voting period and many more afterwards. The winner selection process was not easy but finally 20 finalist photos were selected and printed in postcards and three winners (CityWalk, DANTE and DANUBEparksCONNECTED) were given a certificate during the EUSDR Forum.
