STAKEHOLDER MEETINGS ORGANIZED BY PROJECT PARTNERS

 

In October 2020 International Stakeholder Meeting and 2nd National Stakeholder meetings were organized. The events were organized in harmony with the national Covid-19 sanitary measures. The Danube Floodplain International Stakeholder Meeting took place on 15-16 October 2020 in online format from Munich, Germany and was organized by the Chair of Hydrology and River Basin Management of the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

In Hungary, Serbia, Slovenia and Romania project partners held the 2nd national stakeholder meetings in the pilot areas. Further national stakeholder events are expected in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Read more on the stakeholder meetings on the project’s website

 

ANIMATED SHORT FILM ABOUT THE PROJECT

 
 

Communication Work Package leader WWF Hungary has prepared a short animation film to introduce the project to the general public (D 2.2.4). The animation film introduces how the floodplains of the Danube and its tributaries altered in the past, the challenges floodplain areas have to face and showcases potential solutions analysed by the Danube Floodplain project. 

Watch the film on WWF Hungary’s YouTube channel in English with subtitles. 

The film will also be available with English narration and national language subtitles on the online platforms of the project partners. 

 

PROJECT PROLONGATION

 
The Managing Authority of the Danube Transnational Programme has approved the prolongation of the Danube Floopdlain Project. In line with their decision, the project will officially end in May 2021.
