INVITATION TO DANURB PARTNERS MEETING AND DANUBE DAY CELEBRATIONS - JUNE 28-30, 2017
 

Dear Partners,

as we are heading towards one milestone of our DANUrB project we would like to cordially invite you to participate in the 3-day Partners meeting and Danube Day celebrations which will be held in Budapest-Štúrovo-Esztergom on June 28-30, 2017. Visitors to Štúrovo and Esztergom cities can enjoy a rich program that showcases events such as cooking traditional fish soup - halászlé, concerts, photo exhibition or an exhibition presenting the work of four generations of the Feiglers family. This interesting program also gives you the opportunity to engage in discussions with project partners, meet a wide range of stakeholders from 7 participating countries or to interview the authors of the intervention about what led them to design such solutions in these urban areas.

HIGHLIGHTS OF SEMESTER STUDIOS AT PARTNERS´ UNIVERSITIES

Within their architectural and urban planning studios students of Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME),  Slovak University of Technology Bratislava (STU) and University of Technology Vienna (TUW) addressed issues of sustainable development of cities and regions on the banks of the Danube river (Wachau-Region, AT; Štúrovo, SK; Esztergom, HU). The results of the studio projects will be displayed and introduced to the public during the Danube Day Celebrations in Štúrovo and Esztergom on June 29, 2017.
 

SECOND WORKSHOP AND ON-SITE RESEARCH IN GOLUBAC

The main aim of this trip was the presentation of students’ work at the course “Methodology of Urban design”, carried by Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Đukić. The research polygon for this course is the town Golubac with the nearby Golubac Fortress and surrounding villages. Student works were presented to local experts with competence in relevant fields too.
 

WORKSHOP AND MEETING IN KOMÁRNO

Komárno is a very interesting city full of history. One of the most interesting historical values is the fortification system with its monumental fortress at the Danube River bank. The workshop was primarily focused on the selection and evaluation of cultural potential. The accompanying program also consisted of a meeting with the municipality's representatives.
 

PAKS - VUKOVAR STUDENT TRIP

This trip was organized by the Faculty of Architecture (ÉPK) Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) within the confines of the “Creation week” as one of the many programmes connected to the Danube´s built heritage. Results of the meeting with representatives and inhabitants of these two cities in two EU countries can be seen through comparative studies of the students.
 

THE VERY FIRST INTERREG VOLUNTEER YOUTH (IVY)

We like to share good things and support them. That's why we're introducing Manon, the very first Interreg Volunteer Youth (IVY).Her mission is to “spread the word” on the benefits of European territorial integration on the ground, through reporting on successful Interreg projects belonging to the DTP and that have a strong solidarity dimension.
