THE DANURBANITY HERITAGE PRESERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT GAME FAMILY HAS A NEW MEMBER!

 
 

The DANUrbanity heritage preservation and development game family has a new member! With the ‘Silver Bridge’ (Ezüsthíd) story-based heritage game, our goal was to create a method by which we can make the material and immaterial heritage of the living environment tangible and experiential for those 8-10-year-old children who live in the multilingual environment of the Danube region, while also developing their language competence.

A great synergy between DANUrB+ and RESTART_4Danube became evident at the Regional Conference “Creative Danube. Connectivity - The Key to Overcoming the Shrinkage” in Vidin - Calafat. Тhe collaboration between the two sister projects was possible thanks to the established relationship between the partners on both sides – National Tourism Cluster “Bulgarian Guide” (DANUrB+) and SC IPA SA CIFATT Craiova (RESTART_4Danube).

REGIONAL BRANDING & NETWORK BUILDING OF CULTURAL ECONOMY AND TOURISM

 
 

An international conference entitled “Regional branding & network building of cultural economy and tourism” was held as part of the DANUrB+ project. The two-day programme took place in Sombor, Mohács, and Baja, so participants could get acquainted with Danube-connected, local good practices first hand.

BUILDING CAMP FOR STUDENTS IN MOLDOVA NOUĂ

 
 

As part of the international INTERREG DANUrB+ Project, the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning (Politehnica University of Timișoara), in collaboration with the „Danube Gorge” Moldova Nouă Technological High School and with the support of the Babeș-Bolyai University Centre in Reșița, organized a Building Camp for students, which was held during the last week of July in Moldova Nouă.

DESIGN & BUILD CAMP "THE SPIRIT OF THE ISLAND" IN CALARASI, ROMANIA

 
 

In the framework of the DANUrB+ project, the "Ion Mincu" University of Architecture and Urbanism from Bucharest (UAUIM), in partnership with 3 Smoked Olives Festival and the Atelierul de pe Insula, organizes the DESIGN & BUILD camp called "SPIRITUL INSULEI" (THE SPIRIT OF THE ISLAND) between 21-27 July 2022 - Installations and small furniture for the festival which takes place annually on an island with a sandy beach in the Danube, near the city of Călărași.

(RE)DISCOVERING DANUBE TREASURES IN VIDIN, BULGARIA

 
 

What is the best way to celebrate the diversity of the Danube Region? The town of Vidin, Bulgaria tried to answer this question becoming the host of an extravaganza of culture, heritage, sounds, sights, tastes, emotions, and adrenaline taking place at the “Danube Treasures” Festival. It was held on 2 and 3 July 2022, under the DANUrB+ project, highlighting the end of a week full of events, including Regional Conference Vidin-Calafat, students’ exhibition, etc., marking the International Danube Day celebrations.

REGIONAL CONFERENCE “CREATIVE DANUBE. CONNECTIVITY - THE KEY TO OVERCOMING THE SHRINKAGE”

 
 

The DANUrB+ Regional Conference “Creative Danube. Connectivity - The Key to Overcoming the Shrinkage” was held on 30th June 2022 in Vidin, Bulgaria and on 1st July 2022 in Calafat, Romania. This was the second Regional Conference in both countries following the first successful one conducted on 10th and 11th March in Bucharest and Ruse. It was an important part of a week full of events in Vidin, celebrating the International Danube Day.

NOVO KULTURNO NASELJE ORGANIZED DANUBE DAY EVENT IN BAČKA PALANKA 29.06.2022

 
 

One of the activities in which the DANUrB+ project works on is capacity development and cross-border cooperation of 26 Danube cities in 6 European countries at the lower reaches of the River, is the one-day event Danube Day. Novo kulturno naselje (NKN) from Novi Sad has been participating in the DANUrB+ project for two years, exploring the tourist potential and heritage of the Danube in Bačka Palanka.
