The scanning and mapping of existing policy and legislative framework with relevance for Inland Waterway Transport has been concluded. Partners in all seven countries of the GREEN DANUBE consortium have carried out a targeted research to find the EU, regional and national policies, documents regarding directives, strategies and action plans.

After internal consultations and meetings with experts, the partnership is ready for the next level, the interviews with key stakeholders and the report on the analysis that will cover development directions of various policies, trends, drivers, obstacles and comparison of policies across countries in order to identify key similarities and differences, prospects for future policy development, inconsistencies, overlaps, gaps in policies and legislative framework, stakeholders’ roles and responsibilities.
