This year's ARCA 2017 is 15th edition of the International Exhibition of Inventions, which will take place from 19 to 21 October 2017 at the National and University Library in Zagreb.

The exhibition will present innovations from Croatia and the world. It will include a significant number of innovations that are the result of creativity of individuals, teams in companies, the academic community and other structures of society as well as innovations that are the result of the knowledge and inventiveness of young people from the education system that are the pledge of the continuity of Croatia's economic development.

The event identifies importance to strengthen the linkage between business entities and the academia, and individual innovators with both groups. The promotion of innovation and innovativeness through exhibitions and thematic conferences is an important contribution to the development of innovation culture in society as a whole.

The main sponsor of the event is KONČAR d.d. which is recognized around the world in the field of innovations. On the ARCA 2017, the company will present two models of GHE photovoltaic power plants, intended for residential buildings, apartment, holiday homes and family farms. At the time of major climate change, increased energy consumption, increased dependence of the Republic of Croatia on fossil fuel imports and their impact on the environment and economy, Končar EU engineers have recognized the vital role of energy in the quality of life and the state of the environment and the benefits of sustainable production and sustainable energy use which contribute to economic development and the preservation of the environment, and are thus stimulated by the GHE functional photovoltaic power plant together with the innovators.

Events like ARCA 2017 encourage innovations and eco-innovations and represent efforts to enhance cooperation between actors in the field of eco-innovations which is complementary to the aims of the EcoInn Danube project.

All in all, one of Nikola Tesla’s famous quotes: “Man starts a thousand things, of which only one can be good. And of a thousand good things only one is achievable” can help us understand the need for a good innovation system in which a lot of “ants” try to find their way to innovation. It is a social need and the direction in which we must go.
