Danube S3 Cluster - The Danube S3 Cluster project presented for the first time at the “Policy Dialog Event and 11th Forum for Innovation” in Bucharest, Romania

The Danube S3 Cluster project was presented by the representatives of South Muntenia Regional Development Agency, as Lead Partner, for the first time during the “Policy Dialog Event” and 11th Forum for Innovation, organised on the 24th - 25th May 2018, in Bucharest, Romania, at the “Politechnica” University.

The event was organised within Made in Danube project financed by Interreg Danube Transnational Programme and co-financed by European Union funds (ERDF, IPA).

The goal of the meeting was to discover, develop and disseminate best practices, as well as robust, accessible and applied theory in the areas of innovation and general management, by putting together research and business environments to find solutions.

On the first day of the event, the representatives of the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency (as partner in the SENSES project), participated to the Priority Area 8 “Competitiveness” Cross-fertilisation Innovation and Technology Transfer Workshop. This workshop was organised in cooperation with Priority Areas 3 “Culture & tourism” and 7 “Knowledge Society” and was focused thematically on Tourism and Digitalization. During this workshop, South Muntenia RDA - Member of Pole 3 Entrepreneurial Learning Systems of the Interreg DTP has presented the capitalisation activities in the field of Pole 3 of the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme, on behalf of IFKA, Hungary which is the SENSES Lead Partner and the Pole 3 Leader.

Moreover, on the 24th May, SM RDA team participated at the Panel 3 Innovation for Development and Competitiveness through Clusters in the field of bio-economy, where the Agency, as Lead Partner presented for the first time the Danube S3 Cluster Project financed under the second call of the Danube Transnational Programme. The main focus was on the project specific objectives and results that should be obtained after the 3 years of the project implementation.

On the second day, SM RDA team attended Panel 1 “Success Stories in the field of bio-economy and innovations - Synergies between projects” and Panel 2 „Innovative start-ups in the field of bio-economy, along the Danube Success Stories” and identified success stories and incentives that are synergic with Danube S3 Cluster project.

Throughout this event, South Muntenia RDA team succeeded to networking and to identify synergies with other projects in the field of Agro-food and to meet for the first time some of the Danube S3 Cluster partners.
