Interreg Danube Transnational Programme project LENA is very happy to be announced winner of the German award: “Projekt Nachhaltigkeit 2018” - “Sustainability Project 2018”.

This award "Project Sustainability" (previously "Workshop N") is an established quality seal with national recognition in Germany and stands for innovative and effective commitment to sustainable development. It provides access to an attractive, regional and nationwide network, increased public awareness and the opportunity to shape public discourse and gain supporters.

The four RENNs (Regional Networks Sustainability Strategies) - RENN.nord (north), RENN.mitte (center), RENN.süd (south) and RENN.west (west) are the regionally organized information and action platforms for sustainable development that award this prize. Since the end of 2016, they have been working to ensure that sustainability projects and initiatives network with each other and become publicly visible. The initiator of this prize, RNE (Rat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung/ the German Council for Sustainable Development), is part of the jury and supports the award with its expertise.

A total of 450 applications were reviewed by the jury. From these the 40 national and two special international winners (LENA is one of them!) were announced on the website on July 11th, 2018.
