CHESTNUT - ZADRA NOVA presents projects during the Mobility Week

The Mobility Week, an initiative that encourages small and big cities to introduce and promote sustainable means of transport, was held last week in Zadar, and invites people to try an alternative to driving a car.

As part of the Zadar Mobility Week, Zadar Development Agency ZADRA NOVA promoted its four projects that deal with the topic of sustainable mobility in the wider Zadar area.

During the two-day event, aimed at changing the awareness of citizens, they wanted to motivate citizens to use of public transport and more frequent departure to work, college, school or shopping on bicycle or on foot.

The project CHESTNUT - Comprehensive Elaboration of Strategic Plans for Sustainable Urban Transport of the total value of EUR 2,004,272.18, started with implementation in December 2016. As part of the project Chestnut, it's planned to purchase 30 bicycles and 2 bike-sharing platforms that will provide citizens with additional opportunities to use alternative transport methods.
