DanuBioValNet - The 7th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR)

The 7th Annual Forum of the EUSDR will be held in Sofia on 18 – 19 October 2018. The Annual Forum is organised jointly with Bulgaria and the European Commission in cooperation with the Danube Transnational Programme, as a key event of the Bulgarian EUSDR Presidency. The event will focus mainly on the development of tourism and will also pay attention to the topics related to preservation of cultural and historical heritage, new technologies and digitalization in tourism sector, ensuring safety and security in tourism, transport connectivity and mobility. The DanuBioValNet project was selected together with three other projects fromall of the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) projects to present its goals and results on the second day of the Forum in Panel 2: Danube Transnational Programme contribution to the Danube Region.
On 18 October from 8:30 until 12:00, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Housing of Baden-Württemberg together with BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg GmbH and the Ministry of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Republic of Croatia will organise a “Tourism meets Bioeconomy” workshop. The workshop is designed for the EUSDR Priority Area coordinators, representatives of projects within the DTP Priority Areas, local and regional public authorities (cities, ministries and others), local and regional actors of business development, actors of the tourism sector and also for the actors of the bioeconomy sector to discuss the possibilities of new business models and value networks between bioeconomy and tourism.
