Spring is coming and the project team of Ametyst (Czechia) plans a field research in Pilot Region 1. Thorough planning is inevitable to map migration barriers of European lynx and hazel grouse and to indicate opportunities of how to support ecological connectivity. Experts will also focus on historical changes of meadow communities in the gap between Šumava nad Novohradské Hory. Consultation with local farmers will be very important part of the field research. The second part of field research in this season is ground truthing of SENTINEL data. The sample areas have been already set. The training of ground truthing method will take place in Kubova Huť, Czechia on 8th May 2019.
