DIGITRANS - DIGITRANS PROJECT RECOGNIZED IN TAIWAN (EXPERIENCE OF PROFESSOR TUNG-CHENG LIN FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION MANAGEMENT, NATIONAL TAIPEI UNIVERSITY OF NURSING AND HEALTH SCIENCES)

During the last few months, professor Tung-Cheng Lin from the Department of Information Management, National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences, has spent his time doing research at the Faculty of Organization and Informatics (FOI), University of Zagreb and at the Technology Innovation Centre Medjimurje Ltd. gathering knowledge, information and experience about SMEs digital transformation, which is his main interest of research. His first contact with Digitrans methodology was through Digitrans website where he got information about project partners from Danube area, including Prof. Vjeran Strahonja, coordinator of Digitrans project at FOI.
Professor Tung-Cheng Lin found Digitrans project very interesting and useful. His opinion is that Digitrans methodology combines many useful tools, such as the business model, strategic landscape map, stakeholder map, etc. The methodology can help SMEs to make their digital transformation plan.
During his stay at FOI, Professor Tung-Cheng Lin co-wrote an academic article about micro and macro environment of Digitrans project, with Prof. Vjeran Strahonja and Ivan Plačko, manager of Technology Innovation Centre Medjimurje Ltd.
Professor Tung-Cheng Lin thinks that FOI has great mobility culture; which gave him the opportunity to consult and cooperate with Dean Neven Vrcek, Vice Dean Nina Begicevic Redjep, Prof. Violeta Vidacek-Hains, Kristina Detelj, Diana Simic, Nikola Kadoić, and Martina Tomicic Furjan from teaching staff, as well as head of International Relation Office Izabela Oletić Tušek and Martina Đuras.
Taiwan has a high percentage of SMEs, which is similar to Croatia. Returning to his Department of Information Management, he will continue to conduct related research with FOI to help SMEs’ in Taiwan with going through digital transformation.
Professor Tung-Cheng Lin really liked Croatia and thinks that Croatian people are friendly and helpful, which in his opinion makes the country even more beautiful.
