InnoSchool - 1ST ADVISORY GROUP MEETING IN UNGHENI, REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

The 1st Advisory Group Meeting within InnoSchool project, that took place on May 27th, 2019, in Ungheni, Republic of Moldova, brought together representatives of the Ungheni Education Department, teachers and students as well as representatives of the business environment and organizations working in the social field. Thus, the members of the Advisory Group discussed about the concept of the serious game from social and educational point of view as well as its attractiveness for students. They appreciated that the 6 social topics that have been selected for the game are very relevant for our region. Playing online games is attractive for students and the game is innovative as learning method in schools and offers the possibility to follow the progress at each stage. Also, the use of modern tools and methods as the design thinking, the canvas model, devoting time for open questions and reflection offers the students the possibility to express themselves and be creative. At the same time, the Advisory Group members emphasized the opportunities that should be used and came with specific recommendations. 

Constantin Stratulat, president of NGO “Viitorul începe azi” mentioned: “Teachers should cooperate with NGOs working in the social field in order to get a better understanding of the social aspects”. 

“The possibility to share the progress and impressions on social media contributes to spreading the information on the game and attract more youth to play it and the parents can also see what their children are learning”, concluded Vadim Beschieru, responsible for curriculum within the Ungheni Education Department.

Anisia Gulica, teacher at “Alexei Mateevici” high school, stated: “I believe that a communication platform within the country and/or transnational would be very useful for teachers to share relevant knowledge and experiences and to overcome potential barriers”.
