DANUrB+ - STAKEHOLDERS MEET IN EIBENTHAL, ROMANIA 28.07.2021
28-09-2021
As a result of previous meetings and online activities in the DANUrB+ project, the first face to face workshop involving stakeholders and Associated Partners from the Romanian Danube Gorges took place in Eibenthal (Dubova, Romania) on July 28th, 2021. Visit Banat were the guests of the event, among other stakeholders, ASPs, and representatives from the Iron Gates Natural Park Administration, county council, municipalities, non-profit organizations, and tourism entrepreneurs.
At the beginning of the meeting, all the participants presented their activity and projects (coordinated by Euroland Banat), followed by a presentation of three separate projects about the heritage along the Danube River: DANUrB+ Interreg Project (Politehnica University TimiÈ™oara), Cultural Landscapes in Banat: Identification (PACT Association) and Creating an integrated and innovative cross-border tourism product between the "Vrachanski Balkan" and "Iron Gates" nature parks (R.N.P. Romsilva - Iron Gates Natural Park Administration R.A.). At noon, the participants discovered the intangible local heritage of the Czech community through their specific cuisine (one of the best practices identified in the project). The day continued with two workshops: “Increasing the capacity of local actors for promotion and management” (INCDT Bucharest) and the “Action plan for capitalizing on cultural heritage and regional economic potential” (involving all the participants).
The Eibenthal meeting was organized by the Politehnica University Timișoara, together with Euroland Banat Association and the National Institute for Research and Development in Tourism Bucharest as part of the DANUrB+ project.
