Yesterday we have we successfully conducted the conference and networking event Discover Amazon of Europe Bike Trail in Moravske Toplice, Slovenia. This was the culmination of a 40-month project, which connected 15 project partners from Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Hungary. We are so proud that our project will contribute to the development of the UNESCO 5-country Biosphere Reserve Mura-Drava-Danube and we would like to sincerely thank every person who contributed to the success of the project. 

Amazon of Europe Bike Trail project was truly diverse and it gathered different stakeholders, such as tourism organisations, service providers, municipalities, regions, NGO’s and protected areas, to create new opportunities for the region and local communities.

With 1.250 km of cycling trails following both sides of the rivers in 27 stages through Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia, the Amazon of Europe Bike Trail is an example of a unique sustainable tourism product that boosts the local economy and invests in nature conservation.
