DANUrB+ - COMING UP THIS SPRING! DANURB+ PARTNERS’ MEETING IN TIMIȘOARA AND IRON GATES TRIP, APRIL 26-30, 2022

The first in person DANUrB+ Partners’ Meeting and Study Trip for 2022 will be held right after the Orthodox Easter holidays, between 26th and 30th April 2022 in Timisoara and Iron Gates (Romania). Hosts and organizers of the event will be the Romanian Partners - Politechnic University of Timisoara and Euroland Banat Association, who have planned City Tour and Project’s Workshops in Timisoara on April 26th, Study Trips, Stakeholders’ Visits and Meetings along Bazias, Divici area, Moldova Nouă, Coronini, Svinita, Eibenthal, Iron Gates Region, Oravița, Resita, etc. will follow up.

Representatives from all partners’ countries – Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Slovakia (organizations, associated partnersand stakeholders) will join the event. Good practices will be visited, and the gained knowledge will be transferred in other countries. The 5-day preliminary schedule includes a walking tour along the center of Timisoara, Oravița - Baziaș railroad regeneration project, visit of an eco-farm and traditional Serbian folk costumes museum in Radimna / Pojejena, visit to Ostrov Island (by boat from Moldova Nouă), meeting with local fig growers in Svinita Town Hall and visit to a fig plantation, Iron Gates and Drobeta-Turnu-Severin Region, Steam Locomotive Museum in Reșița, and many more diverse cultural tours, site visits, and city walks.

The event will focus on the activities in the spring and summer of 2022 - organization of the “Danube Day” in all partners’ countries, the variety of stories for the DANUrB Films’ 12 chosen spots, Interregional Plans for Peripheries, development of the DANUrB Quality Seal and future steps of the DANUrB International Association for recognizing the first group of services/suppliers/manufacturers, progress of the DANUrB+ Action Plans in all countries, etc.
