Danube Cycling Ambassadors in Serbia were announced as people that are motivated to engage in the process of improving the position of cycling and active mobility in this country. There are six of them in total.
Francoise Jacob, UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia, is one of the Danube Cycling Ambassadors in Serbia.
In Belgrade, it is almost impossible to find a high profile official who would, instead of using an official car with driver, go to work by bike, every day, in all four seasons. And that exactly makes Francoise different from others. She chooses bike as her means of transport, despite perceived prestige issue which is dominant is Serbia in politics and administration.
Francoise supports all actions of cycling activist organizations and is very interested in help and cooperation.
Zoran Bukvić from Streets for Cyclists, an activist and founder of “Critical mass” in Belgrade is one of the Danube Cycling Ambassadors in Serbia
One of the most active advocates of cycling in Belgrade and Serbia. Through numerous projects and activities, he offers positive examples and invites the citizens to use bicycles for daily travelling from home to work, to college, in everyday life.
He is the initiator of Belgrade’s “Critical mass” and a frequent guest in the media where he speaks to support two-wheeled movement, often in connection with traffic safety, and the need for this topic to be treated more seriously by the Serbian public.
Nemanja Čedomirović, the owner of the IT company Diwit and a cycling activist, organizer of numerous cycling events is one of the Danube Cycling Ambassadors in Serbia.
Nemanja is a recognized expert in the field of IT and with his lifestyle, through daily cycling, he sets an extremely positive example of how it is possible to have a quality life without using a car and how important every trip to a countryside and an active vacation with a bicycle can be.
Robert Čoban, the owner of the company Color Press Group and a great cycling enthusiast and activist from Vojvodina is one of the Danube Cycling Ambassadors in Serbia.
He is an organizer of numerous manifestations and promotional cycling events.
Today at the head of the Color Press Group, the largest magazine publisher in the region with companies in 6 countries – with 110 magazines, 25 internet portals and over 80 conferences, festivals and other events per year.
To people in Serbia, he is also known for his activities on social networks that focus on promoting cycling – his project “Bike through Vojvodina” is particularly interesting and followed, which he promotes on several media, especially Twitter.
Aleksandar Radenković, Chief coordinator in the Police Directorate, in the Traffic Police Directorate is one of the Danube Cycling Ambassadors in Serbia.
He is known as a person who goes to work by bicycle.
Aleksandar Radenković is very active and often speaks in the media. He is very direct in his appeals to citizens that safe and adapted driving is crucial for general traffic safety, referring to all two-wheelers and placing a special emphasis on cyclists.
Ivan Stević, professional cyclist, Four Olympic Games participant (Athens 2004, Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016) is one of the Danube Cycling Ambassadors in Serbia.
He is also the founder of Tour de Fun.
