Our final project conference “Redesign your City – Engaging creative potentials for innovation” took place on November 23 in a virtual format and was a big success. We welcomed almost 100 participants from 19 countries. They heard welcome words from Sorin Maxim, Director of ADR Vest and host of the event, from Natalia Liholot, our project officer from the DTP and an introduction to the project by Grit Ackermann, from our Lead Partner CCIS. The following keynote was held by City Scientist Charles Landry, an author and international adviser on the future of cities. He was talking about the Creative abilities and potentials of a city as engine for innovation and economic, social and cultural prosperity, and offered some outstanding examples. Then the participants were asked to engage in two rounds of breakout sessions. Our aim was to share our experiences and learnings from the CINEMA project in the first session, but also to offer information on trends in urban regeneration with the help of the creative industries. For that we were lucky to have some external experts who facilitated the second round of sessions, like e.g. Bahanur Nasya/Eutropian on the sustainable and future proof development concepts for a city, Roland Murauer/CIMA on Trends in urban regeneration and Mihai Ionita/UrbanizeHub on Creativity as a driving force of intelligent cities. The conference content was recorded online and offline, you can see the result of the graphic recording attached.
