First call results are out: 60 projects approved by the Monitoring Committee

The results of the first call for proposals of the Danube Region Programme (DRP) are out!
The first call was open to the Specific Objectives 1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 4.2.
Out of the 60 approved projects, 20 address topics address Priority 1 of the Programme (A smarter Danube Region), 20 under Priority 2 (A greener, low-carbon Danube Region), 15 under Priority 3 (A more social Danube Region) and 5 under Priority 4 (A better cooperation governance of the Danube Region).
The Specific Objectives 1.1 (Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies) with 15 projects, 2.1. (Promoting renewable energy in accordance with directive (EU) 2018/2001, including the sustainable criteria set out therein) with 10 projects and 3.3 (Enhancing the role of culture and sustainable tourism in economic development, social inclusion and social innovation) with 8 projects were the ones achieving the most approved projects. Concerning the partners, 830 institutions are involved in the 60 approved projects. Hungary with 96 institutions, Slovenia with 87 and Romania with 83 institutions are the countries of origin with the highest number of partner institutions. In regards to the Lead Partners, Slovenia (16), Hungary (13) and Austria (7) are the countries gathering most partner institutions leading the projects.
