Second call for proposals
The Second call for proposals of the Danube Transnational Programme was open from 09.05.2017 to 06.06.2017 (by 15:00 h. CET).
Potential applicants were required to carefully read all the documents included in the Applicants Pack below and to use the compulsory templates for the Application Form.
A Seminar addressed to potential applicants was organised in Budapest on 9th February 2017. Click here for more information about it. All seminar presentations on how to submit a successful application were recorded in several videos and are available here.
119 proposals were submitted for the 2nd call.
22 projects are approved with conditions by the Monitoring Committee on 21th and 22nd March 2018.
22 projects were finally approved by the Monitoring Committee in May 2018. The list of projects can be found here.
The Second call for proposals was open to the Specific Objectives 1.2, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 and 3.2 and restricted to some topics for the other SOs, except SO 4.1, which will not be addressed, according to the following table:

In order to support potential applicants in the preparation of their proposals, all the documents related to the call were published in this section of the website.
APPLICANTS PACK
The Danube Transnational Programme had produced an Applicants Pack to provide stakeholders and potential project applicants with appropriate and high-quality information about the programme, the options and conditions for the development of their project ideas into full-fledged project proposals and the assessment and selection procedures for proposals. The Application Pack includes the following documents: Cooperation Programme, Applicants Manual, Call Announcement, draft Application Form, Guidelines for the Application Form, declarations and other documents. All these documents were subsequently published before the call is launched.
A) COOPERATION PROGRAMME
Document developed by the States and Regions of the area covered by the Danube Transnational Programme and approved by the European Commission which defines the priorities as well as the programming and EU funds required to achieve these priorities. It serves to implement a Community support framework, inter alia, to contribute to the Union strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth and to the achievement of economic, social and territorial cohesion.

B) APPLICANTS MANUAL
The Applicants Manual is the part of the Application Pack intended to provide applicants with detailed and specific information about the programme, project requirements, eligibility rules, application and assessment processes, project implementation principles and to guide them through the drafting of the project proposals.

Submission of applications were done through this online form.
SUPPORT FROM DTP JOINT SECRETARIAT
DTP applicants had the possibility to individually consult with the Joint Secretariat on their project ideas before and during the launch of the call. Project ideas being at an early stage of development are recommended to first address their respective National Contact Point for general advice and information.
A consultation could only be requested by email including a written project outline based on a pre-defined DTP Concept Note. Additionally, applicants were requested to highlight the main questions to be answered by the Joint Secretariat. The JS provided a feedback as soon as possible, not later than a week from the request.
The requests for project consultation not based on the official DTP Concept Note template were not considered.
For requesting an individual consultation, applicants had to contact the thematic JS Project Officer responsible for their project topic (the contact details of the JS can be found on the programme website) or the general DTP email (danube@interreg-danube.eu)
Bilateral on-site consultations could be requested to the thematic Project Officer in the premises of the Joint Secretariat. They were limited to 30 minutes and coud be requested only once for each project. They could only be requested by email including a written project outline based on a pre-defined DTP Concept Note. Additionally, applicants were requested to highlight the main questions to be discussed with the Joint Secretariat.
In order to allow a realistic timeframe for adjustments, no on-site project consultation is organised in the last week before the closure of a given Call for Proposal. This limitation is not affecting general or technical questions, for which the Joint Secretariat can be addressed at any time.
Support to potential applicants at national level was provided as well by the DTP National Contact Points. They organised several Info Days regarding the second call for proposals. The location and dates of those events were announced in the DTP website.
FINANCIAL TOOL
For the purpose of supporting the Applicants in self-assessing their financial viability the JS developed an excel-based tool. This tool was not mandatory as the financial viability will only be assessed by the JS based on a self declaration.
