We are pleased to inform you that 3rd German National Workshop took place on January 31 at the Green City Hotel in Freiburg from 14:30 to 18:00.

The focus of this workshop was set on the introduction of Territorial Monitoring Platform. The overall question of this workshop was: "How can attractiveness and its trade-offs of cities and regions be measured and steered?"

As a highlight of the meeting, a representative of the Regional Authority of Geoinformation and Regional Development (LGL) gave a broad presentation of the newly published geo-portal of Baden-Württemberg. Based on these information we had a very intense exchange about different functionalities, fields of use and possible target group of geo-portals and web-gis applications.

We will proceed to stay in contact to share experiences and - if possible - data, so that the benefit of the exchange will increase mutually.
