The first lab phase is nearing its end. On 13.06.2018 the Demo Day will take place in the City Hall of Ulm, Germany. The solvers will then present their ideas and experiences from the open innovation process in their groups. A selected jury decides whether it would invest in the ideas presented or not.

It's been a long way to get there. In addition to the entrepreneurship training, the teams also arranged meetings with the companies. Together with them, the ideas were evaluated and worked out. For example, several coordination meetings were held with local public utility company, they collected ideas together; the proposals were worked out and agreed with the mentor. Furthermore open questions from the teams could be answered.

The company Uhlmann, has offered a workshop day. All teams were able to present the intermediate results so far. Sketches, suggestions and ideas were discussed with local specialists.

The autonomous cleaning robot could also be inspected by the students in action. They were informed about the robot, with the characteristics of the car park, the operating place of the robot. They had as well the possibility to talk to the responsible engineer of the manufacturer.

We, from the open innovation lab TESTFELD are looking forward to the forthcoming Demo Day and to the different pitches and inspiring ideas.
