ART NOUVEAU - WORLD DAY OF ART NOUVEAU 2018 - Celebrated in the Danube Region

The partnership of ART NOUVEAU project is organizing on the 9th and 10th of June 2018 a series of events for celebrating the World Day of Art Nouveau. The scope is to raise awareness of the beauty and the value of Art Nouveau creations in the Danube region, but also of the importance of its protection and promotion.
The central element of the events will be the joint photographic exhibition prepared based on the contributions of all the partners involved, which will present the life and work of the most important Art Nouveau architects from the region. In Oradea, the joint photographic exhibition will be organized outdoor, in the main square of the city. The visitors are offered free guided tours at the most important Art Nouveau buildings, while in the evenings they will have a possibility to attend a laser projection with educational character on one of the most emblematic buildings of the city - the Black Eagle Palace.
In Budapest, those interested are welcome to visit the photographic exhibition at FUGA Centre for Architecture (Petofi Sandor str 5) and to participate in the free guided tours or the family programs organized by the Museum of Applied Arts.
In Vienna, the photographic exhibition is organized at the premises of the Romanian Cultural Institute, while on the 10th of June the visitors of MAK Museum will have the possibility to attend free guided tours through the exhibition "POST OTTO WAGNER" or a thematic workshop for families. Moreover, those interested are welcome to take part in a visit at the Austrian Postal Savings Bank, one of the most important Art Nouveau building in Vienna.
In Ljubljana the photographic exhibition will be available at the City Hall building, in Constanta (Romania) it will be organized in the vicinity of the Casino, along the Black Sea shore, while in Subotica the exhibition will be displayed outdoor, in the city center.
In Zagreb, the photographic exhibition will be displayed in from of the Museum of Arts and Crafts (official opening on the 10th of June, from 11 o'clock) and in front of the School of Applied Arts. Moreover, free guided tours will be available in Croatian and English languages at the most important Art Nouveau buildings from Zagreb.
In Szeged the photographic exhibition can be visited in Magyar Ede square, while interested participants can attend free guided tours at the Art Nouveau buildings of the city (based on registration).
In Belgrade the opening of the photographic exhibition will be organized on the 8th of June, from 11 o'clock in the Belgrade fortress.
