Join your community: European Cooperation Day 2018

12-06-2018

Hi, EC Day'ers!

Since 2012, Interact has been coordinating a Europe-wide campaign called European Cooperation Day (EC Day) with the aim of highlighting results of European cooperation across borders to the general public. Under the motto “Sharing borders, growing closer”, hundreds of local events are held across Europe in the week around 21 September every year, reaching out to thousands of people.

The campaign is coordinated by the Interact Programme with the support of the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Committee of the Regions. The local events showcase how cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation projects are reducing obstacles and disparities, while at the same time increasing cultural understanding and efficiency between European regions. All Interreg programmes and projects are invited and encouraged to participate actively in the campaign.

In the past editions, people cycled together, sang together, ate together, and in general had a wonderful time in each other’s company in hundreds of local events organised by territorial cooperation programmes and projects in over 30 countries.

The EC Day promotional video 2018 has been released! You can watch it on the online community and also here: https://www.ecday.eu/web/materials-video/
