The spring is here and it is time to take out your bike as well. Do you need inspiration? 

As destination management organization, Kosice Region Tourism is a partner this year in a cycling challenge in the historic region of Abov, it is called Vrchárska koruna Abov. The purpose of this challenge is to reach the peaks declared by the organizers for the respective year (usually 20)  in the set period (most often from March-April to October-November). The peak does not have to be just a hill, but also other tourist or historically interesting place (church, chapel, natural creation, significant saddle, etc.). 

The idea comes from the Czech region Valašska. The project aims to attract many cycling enthusiasts to cycling and to discover the natural and cultural beauties of the region. It is not a competition, the task is not to be the first and fastest, but to participate, get to know and pursue active movement with family, friends or make new friends. 

This challenge is ideal in the current situation since people should not gather in groups but we need to go out to nature to take in vitamin D from the sun and to support our immune system.
